plugged in a new solenoid and my car doesnt crank. the starter gets power and i tested it outside the car to make sure i didnt need a new motor and it was fine. starters grounded aswell so i dont see whats going on.

anything i can check??
i tested it with a tester light only not with a dmm yet. ill do that tomorrow hopefully.

ok so i finally got a chance to check the voltage on the starter and im getting 8 volts at the starter. does that seem right?
did a battery load test and the voltage drops when the ignition is switched.
the 8 volts doesnt seem right to me so tomorrow im going to see what im getting at every point it connects with something else. before and after.
can someone tell me where i can find the starter enable relay? i thought id check it out since i guess people say its a easy test and cheap. if not ill just wire up a push start button meanwhile i can get it fixed.
also getting a new solenoid tomorrow since mine the terminal got stripped a little and id want it to be good again.

yea im getting 8v on the solenoid purple wire spot.

so i shouldnt need a new relay if it does send a signal right? ill try sanding down the terminals and seeing if thast helps
