Are Glass Fog Lenses Different LH RH?
I have been collecting parts for a while, and I went to install my new (used) fogs today. It looks like I have two LH fog lenses, and no right hand lenses. I thought the two sides were interchangeable, just flip them over, but that does not seem to be the case.
Am I missing something? Or are there two separate lenses that are NOT interchangeable between the sides?

The brackets (housings) are side specific. They have tabs that fit into the plastic housing. I guess if you were in a bind, you could pull the lens, but I would just get the correct unit.

You must be talking Firebird, because I don't have plastic housings. I guess I never specified Camaro, sorry.

Camaro fog lights are interchangable. If you have 2 right sides or 2 left sides, you can remove the glass lense off the housing and rotate it. If you look at the front of the glass lenses, it will say top left and top right. You will have to reglue the lense back on the housing when doing this. I dont think the housings can be flipped because of the adjusting screw, just the lenses can be flipped.

Here are a few pictures. The first picture shows the lens, the second is the actual housing. The housing has a channel that goes almost all the way around, except at the top of the housing. There is only one part of the lens that will fit correctly into the housing. I cant see any way to flip the glass lens over and make it fit properly.

I can find no way to flip these lenses over. So until I am corrected, I'm sticking to that conclusion.
However, with a Dremel and a cutting wheel, all things are possible

In the attached picture, you can see where i trimmed the channel ends on the top of the fog light housing. Took about 30 seconds. The cutting wheel is also a good way to remove that stubborn dried-in glue. As soon as the glue gets a little hot, it pops right off the housing.
Once the channel is trimmed, LH or RH lenses will fit perfectly onto the housing. Of course, when you put your trim rings over the lenses, you will not see any of the modifications.
