Blower motor resistor advice needed.

Hello, the heater in my 1984 Camaro Berlinetta only works on high. I have been looking online trying to find a replacement blower motor resistor and have not been able to find the right one. All of the resistors I have found for my 84 are for cars with air conditioning. My Camaro did not come with AC. Will the resistor for the AC cars work in my car? I want all my heater settings to be functional. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Blower motor resistor advice needed.

I doubt that RU-40 is the problem. It's almost certainly going to be this thing that needs to be replaced.

Usually when only the high blower motor setting works in a Berlinetta it's is because this relay has failed. It's not easy to access either...... it's located behind the dash (screwed to the internal heater core airbox.) Top screw needs to be removed completely - but the bottom mounting tab is slotted.

A new resistor is cheap so trying it first might be a good idea.

Re: Blower motor resistor advice needed.

Which relay is this? I've heard that there is a high and a low blower relay? I'm having the same problem with my blower. It only works on high. I replaced the resistor, but that did nothing.
