wipers wont work unless i wiggle the dimmer switch

Im having trouble with my wipers coming on unless i wiggle the dimmer switch and one they come on the only way to shut them off is to wiggle the dimmer switch and turn off the ignition and also the windshield washer wont shut off so i unplugged it im sure the two problems are related im wondering if it might have anything to do with the switch that the dimmer switch itself snaps into input would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like the connector in the column is loose, or it’s time for a new switch.

Use an ohmmeter on each connection pair while wiggling the switch to verify all the pins are making good contact.
