new battery cables. where to start??

Engine: 2.8L V6
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: B.W 9Bolt 3.27 Posi
new battery cables. where to start??
im looking to get new battery cables for my car. i have power thats never consistent and i think the power transfer isnt enough as sometime my car turns off from going to drive from reverse. looking at where to start and what other people recommend? which cables should i also swap besides the main battery cables? what gauge sizes should i go with and how much would i be looking to spend? thanks guys -Aaron

Reverse Voltage, A Big Negative
A set of battery cables will be about $20.
Typical gage is 2 AWG.
If it’s stalling when shifting into reverse do to a voltage drop, that can be verified by using a voltmeter with leads long enuff to reach the cockpit.
Connect it to one of the headlights, turn the headlights on, you should see about 12 volts.
Now start the car, put it in reverse, and observe the voltage when it stalls.
Did the voltage drop and by how much?

My Brakes Don’t Work AT ALL When The Car Is In The Air
