hard wireing a gps into fuse box

hey guys my gps unit thing that plugs into the cig lighter broke and I cant find a replacement so I want to hard wire it into the car.

heres a pic of the plug apart, now the fuse is a 1.5a fuse and on the end of the board to the gps unit itself I see a red and black wire, seems simple enough but what about the board the power runs throw, is that important if I am going to hard wire this into the fuse box.

also a run down on how to hook up a new fuse in one of the empty spots to please, I have the basic idea of what to do just not sure where the ground/neg. and positive wires are to hook the new fuse up.

GPS Mess

Use the “IGN” terminal on the fuse block.

Crimp a lug to an inline fuse holder to hold the 1.5 amp fuse.

That way the GPS will turn on and off when you turn the car on and off.

Connect the 12 volt line to the input of the GPS connector as it might have voltage reduction circuitry.

Happy Racing!
