Help me with connector pin-outs Please
Hi all,
I need some help with a couple connectors under the dash. I need the pinouts so i can adapt them to the new tpi harness.
They are both on the passenger side under the dash. They both connected to the carb engine harness before. The car is an 83 trans am, and originally came with the Rochester CCC. They are both white molex type connectors.
The first one has four wires

The second one has five wires.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I am not sure about those wires, but I think you may need to get a newer dash harness, possibly an 86+. Reason i say this is because that harness was never intended to incorporate the power wires from the fuse box or other wires for fuel injectors/pump, vss, aldl.....
For the TPI install, you will need to get power to the harness either through the dash OR a remote fuse box.

Perfect. I cannot be certain, but that Pink/Blk wire may be a ign source(if it is anything like the newer cars). It will probably go to the gauges fuse. Do a test. Get a test light and connect it to that Pink/blk wire and ground. Turn the key from off to on/acc/ign (not start) and see if the light turns on. If it does and it turns off when you shut the key off, pull the gauges fuse and do the same test. If the light does not turn on this time, you have yourself an ign hot on a fuse.
Make sure that the wire in the painless harness does not draw a lot of power, otherwise you will pop that fuse.
EDIT: Come to think of it, those actually look like the c207 connectors, never seen white one, usually clear. That Pink/blk should be the gauges fuse, which is ign hot. Does it have a letter that corresponds to the wire? Looks like letter F

Re: Help me with connector pin-outs Please
You need the brake switch for convertor unlocking?
Reason I ask is the TPI ECM does not monitor that(too my knowledge). There is a pinout on the c100(on the firewall) that goes down to the trans and trips a solenoid to disengage the lockup convertor. May have to move that based on the pinning of the c100 on the painless harness.
