contimious rapid check engine light

I have new parts for the whole top end including cam, but would like the car running perfect before I put them on so I know if its a part I installed incorrectly or something I haven't touched, especially considering I will not be running the computer anymore.. but the check engine light comes on and flashes rapidly and wont stop. the car hasn't been ran in ten years there was an eight of tank of old gas I put in half a tank of 91 and mixed half a bottle of additive to help burn up the gas, any suggestions?

Sounds like the prom is not seated correctly in the ecm or the ecm is faulty.

yea I found a vacuum line that was unplugged so I plugged it back in and it seemed to fix the idle problem however, the check engine light is still flashing it seems to flash to the pulse of the engine idle
