Camaro headlights working scheme
Hi! My problem is very basic, but I can't find the answer anywhere. I've got Camaro Z28 86' and I want to recover headlights to the original working scheme.
Lights switcher inside has only two working modes: position lights (low beam) and driving lights (high beam). I can also run long lights (halogens) from the shifter on the steering column.

- Which lights should be on in a given switcher position?
- How is it connected with side markers and direction indicators on the bumper?
- How I can run the fog lamps on the front grill (I cannot see any switcher inside)

Re: Camaro headlights working scheme
Whenever the tail lights are on (that is, when the headlight switch is pulled only halfway out, or, when any headlights are on) the side markers should be lit, along with the tail lights and the lesser filaments of the turn signal bulbs.
When the dimmer switch is in "low", the "low" filaments of the "low" beams should be on.
When the dimmer switch is in high, the "high" beams, and the "high" filaments of the "low" beams, should be on.
Fog lights have a totally separate control, not part of the headlight system at all. The switch was on the dash on the opposite side of the steering wheel from the headlight switch. It's a rocker switch; looks a lot like the power window switches.

- How many bulbs should be mounted inside the turn signal on the front bumper? When I bought the car there was only one bulb, but the turn signals seemed to be modificated. When I bought a "new" pair from the wrecked car I found two bulbs in each (two separate gaskets), but them also looks like modificated... And now I'm confused

- About the main headlights: as we know there are 2 square headlights on each side of the car: [A][B].....\logo/.....[B][A] . In my car [B] is only for halogens (but there is an empyt small gasket hole in each + the glass is clear) and [A] contains two bulbs in two gaskets: one bigger for driving lights and smaller one which is active in every dimmer switch position (low and high). The glass is lensed on it. I think the bulbs position is not correct. What do you think?

From the world's largest archive of pictures of every object that can possibly be bought or sold:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/85-92-Camaro...a9641c&vxp=mtr
Your headlights are not stock. Stock, they are sealed beam bulbs; no holes, no gaskets, only a connector. I can't begin to guess what goes in what you have.
