question about wiring for headlight motors
Hey guys so my headlights sometime's don't pop up, but I know the motors aren't gone because they'll roll down if I manually roll them up and sometimes they do pop up on their own when I push the button. I'm thinking that maybe a wire is loose or a module is going out or something, but I need to know something about the wiring. When I un-hook the wires from the motor, and test them, one turns on when I want the light to go back down, the other one doesn't turn on when I want the light to go up. The wire that came on when I was wanting the light to go down will shut off when I push the button for the light to pop up. So, is the wire that isn't coming on at all supposed to get hot? because it's not, is it a ground? if you could answer that'd be great, cuz I can then find a solution for the problem. Thanks guys

Sounds like a short to me. Look up a diagram and trace the wire back and see if it got knicked by something or if its loose in the plug. Look for oxidation in the plug as well where it connects as that might be a issue as well

Re: question about wiring for headlight motors
test the motors with a jumper one pos and one ground one way will go up and the other down. if that works the motors are fine. if they go up or down you know the wires from the module to the lights are fine. sounds like either the module or light switch is a problem i dont have the diagram now but i would test the switch inputs at the module because its easier to get at, if those check out the module is bad
