Dash Lights/Dome Light not working
My dash lights (other than turn signals/high beams/fasten seat belts) are not illuminating on my 86 iroc-z. I also do not have the dome light or shifter light.
I checked all fuses and they are all operational, the copper backing on the back of the cluster is perfect too and all bulbs test positive.
Using a voltmeter I found an unconnected wire labeled:
PED 5
A B
with one orange and one white wiring coming out. This wire leads to all parts of the vehicle that are not lighting up, but I have nowhere to plug it into that I can see.
Where can this wire go? What are some possible solutions?
All help is appreciated.

The wire for dash illumination is gray therefore the wires you mentioned won’t help.
If you have power on both sides of the INST LPS fuse, the problem is most likely a bad connection from the output of that fuse to bulb #1 for illumination.
Also, make sure the ground side of the illumination common is making good contact.
If the dome light is inoperative when both you open the door and/or attempt it with the headlight switch, that’s a separate problem.
