3 Wiring a CS130?

Can a CS130 alternator be ran as a 3 wire only utilizing two of the four pins on the alternator terminal?

I have a 140 amp powermaster alternator I just bought. For convenience I decided to get the 1 wire version but I have noticed that sometimes when using remote start (100% of the time if the A/C compressor clutch is engaged), the engine will not rev high enough to trigger the regulator and I will come outside to find my car running off the battery.
