'99 Firebird is posessed!
My daughter is having some problems with her car that I, as a mechanic, cannot explain.
When she locks or unlocks the car, ONLY when using the key fob (the problem does not occur when locking or unlocking using the door lock buttons) , the headlights open and close, then the actuator motor keeps running for a few seconds.
Any help, please? I'm totally lost.

Lol!!! I have the same problem, and believe the motor may be bad or the gear for the headlight motor is bad.
I have yet to fix mine,
However in the daytime i pull both fuses for headlights and put them back in. Just pull each one and then put back in in the same order you removed them. Car will not have the problem again until you cycle the light switch! Then problem happens again. Its weird
Mine never used to do this til one day passenger side headlight stuck closed and wouldnt open, so i manually opened it using the allen head slot. Ever since then i had the problem so a buddy of mine who deals with these cars (gm junkyard and shop) says its a headlight motor gear
