My compressor for my air conditioner is missing and I hav an extra altinator laying around could I put that where the compressor goes and run my subs of a separate battery....just curious cuz I'm bored and I wouldn't need a cap then

Has been done before

Easier would be to have a single big HD Alt like a CS144 charging the 2 batteries with a isolator
http://www.bcae1.com/battiso.htm
so the stereo / subs can only run one battery flat leaving the other charged for the car

Have you done the big 3 upgrade so your wiring is up to scratch ?
