My 1989 Iroc 350 TPI had the wires cut going to the C207 connector.....the three brown wires are a problem for me


I followed the brown wires(from a spare hacked up 89 tpi under dash harnes also missing the c207 connector)and one wire goes to the fuse box(F/P-Fan-C/H fuse location), one wire goes to the back of the right side(brown)connector(pin 8) behind instrument cluster, and one goes to the ALDL connector(pin C).....

I need to know which of these above brown wires matches up with c207 pin outs A, D. and K.............

 

I have those written down but currently away from that information. Will post that up later tonight

 

One going to c207 pin D is coolant fan fuse from alternator.

Pin A c207 i have as an emissions control wire, not exactly sure what part of the emissions. Have to check service manual for more details

Pin K on c207 is vss signal to ecm

So...the brown wire going to the fuse box goes to pin D on the C207 connector ?
....and the brown wire going to the (brown)connector behind the instrument cluster goes to pin K ?
......and the brown wire going to the ALDL connector goes to pin A ?

and need to make sure as i dont want to mess my ecm up.......

 

Yeah pretty sure intrument cluster goes to K as that is vss from speedo. Fuse box should have fan fuse and run to D and then out to alternator.

I will double check the aldl. I think is A but not sure. I will look in my service manual.

 

If you can double check in your service manual on all three (pin A, pin D, and pin K) I sure would appreciate it.

Sorry i forgot about this.

Pin A definately comes from AIR pump solenoid to ecm at A2 and also thru c207 to ALDL port pin C. Emissions based so if you do not have smog/air pump for exhaust then wont need this.

K is vss to ecm. Buffer box behind speedo.

D is fan fuse. Thru c207 to alternator and a wire taps off that to feed fan relay
