Electronic Speedo with GPS?
So, I was floating around Rick's Camaro.. and noticed this http://www.rickscamaros.com/sky-driv...ed-sender.html -- so, this would obviously eliminate the need for a speedo cable and allow the usage of aftermarket gauges. Has anyone tried this? How does it work? Easy installation? talk to a brother...

Yup, Speedut is the place to look. I have a full set of gauges including their GPS speedometer from them. It works very well and doubles as a performance gauge for times. 0-60, quarter mile. Many people who do not have them complain that "they probably have lag and take a second or two to respond." It's a baseless assumption. They work great. If you doubt the capabilities of a GPS speedometer than I encourage you to try the speedometer in a Car GPS navigator or install a GPS speedometer app on your smart phone. I have never experienced slow or no signal.

Great info guys. . I'm restoring the car.. and will probably stay with the stock set up.. but, I really don't like the cable set up.. just seems like something else that can break..
