Starter Wiring Question
Removed and replaced my starter on my IROC...took a look at the wiring and had a mental picture. Removed the starter support bracket. Wasn't sure if there was a harness ground wire there or not. During what I thought would be a simple removal, I had to remove the Y-Pipes...worked late last night. I picked up this morning and got the starter in, the black grd wire is on the solenoid. I vaguely remember that there were two wires that accompanied the positive cable to the solenoid orange and red...
I have a spare wire and it looks orange, but it also could be a ground wire. I tried to look at Haynes manual and it isn't giving me a clear picture of the wiring. Tried to go on Mitchell but it's a membership site. Can someone clear this up?
Afternoon board, I found a wiring diagram but not too sure what I am looking at. I really need someone's help on this drawing a blank. My gut's telling me it's a ground. Maybe it's on the bracket mounting point on the engine block, but I don't see any evidence of it being there. The eyelet is large diameter (9/16) Bolt. The upper starter support bracket is a 9/16 bolt...
