Need help with aftermarket gauges.
Hello everybody. I just bought an 88 RS, and im trying to take out all the aftermarket gauges the previous owner put in it. He had a temperature gauge and a tach on there. He also had oil pressure and voltage gauges, but they werent hooked up (thankfully).
Now for my questions:
-Where does the wire for the temp gauge go? I figured it would be near the thermostat but i cant find it.
-Is there an easy way to do revert back to the original guages? It looks as if im going to have to take the entire dash off to get to them, and the hole through the firewall is super tiny and almost impossible to get to.
Thanks in advance everybody. This is gonna be my first project on my own, and any help is gonna be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need help with aftermarket gauges.
Wire for the temp gauge goes to the sensor in the driver side head, between #1 and #3 cylinder spark plugs.
Reverting back to original gauges will be a matter of finding out what has been hacked apart, and what is still intact, and then going from there. Basically you need to find out whats been altered and is stopping you from plugging your gauges back in.
