Need some info on an aftermarket alarm
I've been taking out some interior pieces of my 88 camaro and I found a little black box that says Clifford magnetic resonance sensor. I have no idea what that means
. There is a 3 way switch wired to it, one direction is momentary, the other just standard.
My question is, what does this system do, and what is the relevance of the switch? Should I worry about removing this or disabling it? I'm converting the car to carb so there's a lot less wiring needed. Though that switch could make a good fuel pump switch if I don't need it.

Re: Need some info on an aftermarket alarm
The sensor is a shock sensor and the switch is a valet/programming switch for the alarm. Follow wires to the alarm brain and remove all of it careful not to cut factory wires. The module will be a white or black box that says Clifford on it most likely with 2 white plugs, 2 red wires and one black wire should be run to the battery from the alarm and a siren under the hood, those should be removed as well.
