HVAC fan selector switch broken/stripped

Title says it all, about a week ago the fan speen **** stopped working. It no longer clicks into place, it just spins around and doesn't turn on the blower. Any way I can fix it or at least rig up a temporary solution until I can find a new selector unit or fix the problem the right way? Car is a DD and I desperately need the defrost in the morning and when it rains.

Without feeling it I can’t instantly tell you if it’s the plastic **** which is stripped or something inside.

Pull the **** off and try a Vise Grips on it.

Now can you turn the blower on?

If yes, epoxy the **** on using an epoxy made for metal.

The repair will be stronger than stock.

Happy Racing!

Hmmm... thank you, I will try that, although I can still feel light "clicks" when it gets to the positions it it is supposed to be in so maybe it's inside? I'll see what happens with the vise grips.
