Power locks i thought i never had
Iv only had my car for couple months now and i took off the door panel to switch my window motor and noticed the switch and the actuator ..is there anyway i can test them? How can i jump the switch? I tried connecting the middle contact and the left and right contacts on the switch with a 12awg wire but no bueno...any suggestions? Thx

The 2 pins on the soleniod itself are famous for getting cruddy and not allowing a good contact with the plug. ( & it's not easy accessing those 2 pins with the soleniod installed..... ) The plug also gets cruddy too, but usually not as bad as the plugs. The only way that you will know if it's any good or not is to be sure that those 2 terminals are clean and making good contact with the plug. Once the terminals are clean apply 12 volts and ground directly to the terminals.
