Temperature needle not moving

My temperature needle is acting funny on my 87 camaro. I noticed at first it would get stuck behind the bezel. So the other day I fixed the by shaving down the bezel. The gauge worked fine after that. Haven't drove my car in a few weeks. Now I noticed the needle is also the needle pointing the other way.(Down and to the right) I put the car on but didnt start it bc my battery is dead but all the needles moved except the temperature needle and it always moves. At this point I am thinking of buying the refurbished cluster from hawks.

Re: Temperature needle not moving

that may be necessary but you should at least wait until you get a new battery to start chucking clusters in the garbage.

Re: Temperature needle not moving

I took my apart the cluster and move the temp needle and it work. I also notice when my speedo drops it's not smooth, it kinda jerks. I am going for the refurbish cluster. I was going to get aftermarket but I want to keep the car mostly original. Have to wait till Monday Hawks is on vacation
