"Two" problems with my car. 2.8, 89bird

Car didn't crank so i jumped the neutral safety switch and it magically cranked.

Does the NSS affect the fuel pump? should i get that first before messing with the fuel pump?

With the NSS jumped:
My fuel pump doesnt turn on. i dont get fuel to the Schrader valve, i am getting power to the wiring connector by the tank though. so i am thinking of dropping the tank tomorrow and checking out the wiring inside the tank.

it has so far:
new fuel pump, new fuel injectors, battery is good, grounds are good, VATS is disabled in the prom also the relay is jumped correctly, other relays are good, starter is good, alternator is good. pretty much everything lol

Any advice that i can used to turn this sucker on!

Re: no crank & no fuel
The nss doesn't have anything to do with the fuel pump. When the key turns on the ecm sends out 12v for 2 seconds on pin A1 on the 1227302 ecm . Start there first, does the check engine light come on when the key is turned in the accessory position ?

Re: no crank & no fuel
ohh im sorry i forgot to check that!! just been busy changing the fuel pump lol & cleaning the tank... now i get fuel to the rail but the car hesitates and it almost wanted to turn on. i also sprayed a bit of starter fluid and it almost turned on too...i have spark on all wires...

i also forgot to mention before i jumped the NSS, the crank fuse under the dashboard had no power. i have not checked it with the jumped nss though

Re: no crank & no fuel
It sounds like the injectors are stuck from sitting in bad fuel for awhile. You might need to pull them and have them cleaned and flow tested.

i checked to see if the engine light came on with the jumped NSS and it doesnt come on. Or did you mean with the regular wiring in place?

If the fuel pump primes when you turn the key to the accessory position and the check engine light is on . That indicates the ecm is powered up. The only other test I can think of is a noid light. if the light blinks while cranking and you have at least 38psi of fuel pressure the injectors need to be serviced.

The only time the CRANK fuse ever gets power is when the key is turned all the way to START. ( it's on the same circuit as the starter soleniod wire )
