automatic shifter wiring?

Hey guys, I'm taking on an auto-to-5-speed swap in my 91 Trans Am and I had a question about the wiring in the automatic shifter. Now in the following picture, I know that the top two wires (thick green and purple) are for the neutral/clutch safety switch for the igntion, and the two in the middle (light green and blue) are for the reverse lights (correct me if I'm wrong with any of this).

Now what are the bottom two wires (black and orange) for? After taking apart the little circuit board that connector plugs into, those two wires appear to be jumped when the shifter is in either neutral or park. I just can't think of what that may be? Perhaps a reference signal to the ECM to adjust the idle when the car is in park/neutral as opposed to being in gear? Any help would be great, thanks!!

Re: automatic shifter wiring?

Vetteoz, thanks for the diagram! You're the man. And John, yep I know! I plan on getting a t5 tune which will eliminate the TC lockup from the ECM anyway.
