86 Camaro hatch motor manual control for testing
86 Camaro hatch motor manual control for testing
Hello all,
Its been a while since I've been on here. A lot of chaos in the past had crippled me until recently starting with a burnt down house on up the list of evil curses that anyone would hate to be on the receiving end of
.
Anyway skewed off topic, I've been searching the forums for diagrams etc on the hatch pull down motor for my car and I was wondering if anyone had a simple trick of manually forcing the motor to perform its moves? I know that it pulls down on the hatch but what triggers the motor to lift the clasp for the hatch to engage for the next time you go to close the hatch? I recently put new slides in the assembly but the motor seems insistent on powering on after I slam the hatch shut and stays on like it is trying to pull it down until I release the hatch then the motor stops but the whole slide assembly does not move like it used to. So I'm trying to figure out if its the motor, relay etc and what can be hot wired to force some movement of the motor slide assembly. I'll dig into the diagrams later but just feeling lazy today and looking for that hook the orange wire to 12 volts and motor should move type answer on a Sunday lol.
Hope everyone else has had a happy new year and a better year this go around than I've had last year
