i feel like dork for even having to ask....(and yes, i did a search)
I'm having a small blinker issue that i know you guys can help me solve.
My passenger blinkers work just fine, but me driver's side just lights up and stays on: no blinkie.
I assume it's the flasher unit (i think it's under the dash by the fuse panel. Anyone got a pic?) but i wasn't sure if there's one for each side or if a faulty single unit could allow one side to work but not the other.

The flasher relies on a certain circuit drain ( through the bulbs ) in order to flash correctly.Originally Posted by pathology knight
if a faulty single unit could allow one side to work but not the other. As it flashes correctly on one side ,the flasher unit is fine and you must have a problem with the bulbs , wiring or ground on the other side
thanks.
I'll check the bulbs out.
i haven't done anything to the wires, so it must be a bulb somewhere.

I would make sure all of your grounds are clean and tight. There are a couple of small ones on the front section that are easy to break.
it looks like my driver's side, rear, side marker is out. Any idea on how to change that bulb? it looks like i have to take out a couple plastic (interior) panels, but i was hoping not. I don't see access to it from underneath.

The plastic lens nuts on the drivers side are kind of a PITA to remove, but you can reach all of them by opening the rear 'glovebox' and reaching thru there. ( I just had to replace 2 rear 'park light' bulbs in my Z28 this week ! )

unfortuneatly, my rear "glovebox" on the driver's side, still has the box in it, so i can't reach through it.
Looks like i'll have to start removing panels....

There's only 1 big plastic nut that you need to reach thru the glovebox to get to,.... and that nut is EASY to get to. ( your hand can easily reach over the top of the cardboard box and touch the nut - no problem )
The 2 that are 'harder' to access with are the 2 that are placed right at the back edge of the driver side plastic panel. You've got to flex the panel a little so that you can turn those 2 nuts. Those 2 nuts can cause some frustration - but still MUCH better ( & MUCH faster ) to deal with it that way rather than removing the entire drivers side plastic panel + the other panels that need to come off in order fo the drivers hatch panel to come out !!

do you have pictures of what you're talking about?
i don't know of any nuts back there. Why do i need to undo nuts to change the bulb?
My glovebox is still intact, so i can't put my hand through it.
