88 gta wiring help

I have an 88 gta that I need to fix some wires on. the 4 red wires going to the starter have been hacked up. all 4 were wired together with two wires off that mess to starter. I know there should be fusible links there. anyone know what size these are. all I can find local are 14 or 16ga links. will these be enough.

14 and 16 sound about right.

Just remember when connecting normal wire to the links to use at least 2 common (4 numerically) sizes larger wire.

Happy Racing!
