V6 Cluster work with V8

I have a 91 V6 base model firebird that has the original v6 cluster and has had a v8 swap. Currently the prior owners ran mechanical gauges down in the radio hole for water temp and oil pressure. I would like to get the factory gauges working.

I picked up a v6 oil pressure switch and will adapt that onto the v8 but not sure on coolant temp. I know on the tach i will probably have to make some modifications it reads a bit high but im just looking for info on what is needed to get the water temp and tach working also will the v6 oil pressure switch work for what i need.

Re: V6 Cluster work with V8

Oil pressure and coolant temp are the same between V6 and V8. Hook the sender up and run the single wire to each. Been a while since I messed with V6's but the old senders are mostly all NPT, so they might unscrew from the V6 and thread right into the V8

What engine/trans are you running now? Speedo may take some hoops to jump through

V6 tach take a different signal than V8, so you will need to swap the gauge. Moving that one gauge/guts over will work so you dont lose the original odometer. LSx swaps can use the V6 tach still, just change the PCM output

Alt and fuel gauges are independent or any engine system
