engine swap now gas pump wont start
im new here and need help with my 88 iroc-z. it has 198,000 miles so i opted for an engine and tranny swap. i put in a new block and a tranny from an 89. my friend helped me time it but now the fuel pump wount prime. the new engine dose not have all the emissions stuff anymore. i have tried replacing a bunch of stuff but it still will not get fuel. please help. any ideas are welcome.

To test the relay and pump simultaneously use a spare piece of wire and jump the orange wire to the green wire with the white stripe.
Did you hear the pump run when you did that?

i ran a wire from the battery to the fuel pump port on the computer connection under the steering wheel and the pump kicks on. it just wont prime when i turn the key.

Now turn the key to the RUN position.
Did the voltmeter show voltage?
If no, there is a faulty ECM or bad connection going to it.

so i figured out what is wrong with my car totally by accedent. i bought a new computer for it but put the old one back in and it fired right up. so i guess i just reset it.
