88 Camaro Headlight Problem

My headlights are not functioning except the high beam on the passenger side, I have tried to open the entire harness to see if any connection was loose and nothing is loose. I Also tried plugging the only harness that works into the other lights and the all turn on, but when I plug in the other harnesses they don't work. I tried to see if the hardness are receiving power but they are't except for the high beam on the passenger side. Before they used to work and then the light became dim like they didn't have enough ground and now they don't work at all except for the passenger hi beam.

Get The Lights Right

It sounds like there’s break in the harness.

First, jump the ground side of the dark headlights to battery negative to make sure it isn’t a bad ground causing the problem.

If it isn’t you will probably have to take off some of that icky electrical tape and examine the wiring till you find the bad connection.

Because the right HI-Beam works but not the left, look at the tie-point behind the left headlights.

You can use a small bulb or voltmeter to probe there.

Happy Racing !
