Inner door push button for dome light ?
Ok I'm not sure what it's really called but the button that gets released when the door opens doesn't trigger the dome light to come on. Anyone know what the problem can be ? Oh and the passenger door push button works perfectly fine and some comes on when pass door is open.

It's not really quite a "switch"; it's something really crude. It's completely open and non-enclosed, without any organized structure you'd want to call a "contact", just some pieces of metal sliding around that can touch (or not). The center piece of it, with the wire attached and all, moves in and out. Since the wire itself actually moves along with the plunger part, the wire can break too.
Did I mention, it's really crude?
Very eeeezy to replace though, if the "switch" itself is bad, which it can be, mostly due to corrosion.

Yes the button moves in and out, I'll get around to pulling the luck panel off later today and see what's going on back there. I'll let you know what I find out

Sometimes you can just unscrew the "switch" from the door jamb to put the eye ball on it. Might save you from having to remove the sill and kick panel.
