Everyone seems to have their own way of doing this, I wanted to see if there is anything that I'm missing here?

I think 2 gauge will be too this for the main cable to the starter.

Not sure the fuse is a good idea either.

I bought a new LT1 terminal block from Hawks, mounted it on the inside of the fender and terminated the alternator cable there. From the block I ran a 4 gauge cable to the starter.
