91 z28, burning smell & speedo
So, just got my car back from having a new tranny installed. Started it this morning and there was smoke coming from dash (the smell was of burned wire), I'd say mostly from the area of the center vents. I then noticed that my speed wasn't working at all. My gauges are stock.
I'm thinking a wire in my dash melted. Anyone have a more plausible explanation?

Probably the only way to discover the burnt part or wire is to look behind the dash, however if you don’t see anything wrong you will have to open the dash.

I had my speedo board burn up when doin a tach board fix. Had to replace speedo board
