Volt gauge keeps fluctuating.
Volt gauge keeps fluctuating.
I just noticed it coming home the other night. It would jump up and the lights would get bright, then it would drop to the middle again, lights go back to normal when I was sitting at a light. Battery seems to be charged, it does not labor to turn over the motor and the alternator looked new when I got it. I swear when I am sitting in I can catch a very slight whine when the needle goes up. I read it might be the throttle body, it does do it when the tac drops and goes up too. I know the mass airflow sensor does have issues lol Was thinking of taking it to the battery place to have them check the charging system. Any ideas?

the closest auto parts (ie napa, autozone, etc etc) store can check the charging system. they can check the battery and the alternator. my guess is you need an alternator. luckily that's a too easy fix.

Alternator going out. New or not, it happens more than you think. Buy a NEW alternator
