Location of Voltage Regulator

Hello everyone. I was wondering if you kind gents could point me to the location of the voltage regulator on an 88 trans am 5.7ltr TPI. I've only had the vehicle a few days and I am running into the issue with a bouncing speedo and lights that dim up and down. I know it can be a few different issues and I'm tracking them down one by one to work bugs out. Thanks for your help.

Re: Location of Voltage Regulator

The voltage regulator is built into the alternator if it's bad it's time for a new alternator, I'm not 100% sure but I believe you should have a mechanical speedo, in wich case the power woulden't make it bounce, mabe someone ells can chime in and clarify when gm switched over
