I need some help here, my car is a 92 rs that has a 5.7 swap and a 700r4. Almost two months ago when I left work my car was idling around 2k and when I drove off my speedometer wasn't working. I haven't been able to figure this out. I originally figured it was the speed sensor but I'm not sure if that would cause idle issues? I thought about IAC but... Then I still have speedometer not working. My car also has an ostrich emulator but I am not familiar with tuning etc. Not sure if my issue is ecu, vss or what? I'm at a complete loss. I tried the paperclip to check codes but nothing happened. If anyone can help then please do, I am completely out of ideas and don't have the money really for trial and error. Thanks for any help.

 

Double check all of your vacuum ports. With high idle that's one of the givaways of a vacuum leak. For the seedo, I'm not sure. Someone else want to chime in?

 

I checked the vacuum lines or atleast the ones I knew of. All that seems fine unless there are more I'm not aware of. I just thought it was odd that all these issues started at once. That is why I'm thinking ecm. I'm not completely sure its not the vss but not sure if that would cause the other issues.
