Dizzy type on a 1990 305ci

Hi, I was wondering what type of dizzy the 1990 305 TBI camaro had?

Doing a full megasquirt ECU conversion along with power upgrades and LPG (propane). Came across a website that was on about TBI/TPI dizzy having hei18 dizzy?

If so would make configuring timing much easier.

If not what cars came with them and is it hard to convert my
Dizzy to hei?

Thanks, Carl.

The factory distributor is already HEI equivilent. HEI was the name for "new electronic" distributors when they first started replacing the points style in the late 70's.

Now, I'll admit, I don't know anything about this HEI18 you're talking about, but a factory distributor from just about anywhere will serve you well.

I see, thank you for the information. Don't suppose you have any sources for your information? Just trying to find more out on the distributor but failing.

The project is for my final year at university (more power with the same running costs through use of alternative fuels and management)

Where are you attending, if I may ask?

Try this:
http://www.pontiacpower.org/HEI.pdf

and

Delco-Remy

A little history of HEI...

I'm attending at a University in the UK.

Thank you for the information, will have a read when home tonight.

Also apologises for any bad spelling, joys of using my phone and rushing.

No worries, glad I could help.

A good friend of mine just graduated with her PhD from Cambridge and is getting her thesis published. Kind of exciting. Best of luck to you in your studies!
