Switching my tbi car to a carb .. 3 wire plug on alternator plus lead obviously . How do I wire the three wire plug.

 

I'm trying to remember how I did this on mine. The big red wire out of the plug goes to the post on the alternator. The exciter wire needs to have a resistor wired in to it. There's some info out there here, you can search it and come up with something. Search the word "exciter" and you should find your answers. I think I also found some info on this on hotrodders.com
