Power Seat Shocks me
I have this problem when I exit the car and I place my hand on the back support part of the seat and it comes in contact with the framing of the seat I feel a shock like a small potential from it to my finger. I do have power seats and was thinking it might be the power to switches making a short to the seat? All controls on seat work and I am not blowing any fuses. Has anyone else experienced this and if so was their any root cause to the problem identified? Thanks everyone! CB

Electric Chair, OR, Install Shock Absorbers
Scenario A:
Some fabrics, especially in dry weather, can give you a static shock when you exit.
This is a hazardous situation due to the fact car fires have been started when drivers at fuel stations got in then out of their cars, then touched the fuel nozzle and the spark ignited the tank.
You can check to see if the seat frame is grounded.
However even if it is you still might be electrically charged by exiting.
You can try exiting while touching grounded area while exiting.
If refueling, make sure to touch the car body away from the tank neck to make sure you.
Scenario B:
A motor winding is getting to a part of the seat.
That can be cured by connecting a capacitor across the motors’ inputs.
