84 berlinetta cranking problems
84 berlinetta cranking problems
I recently acquired an 84 berlinetta that won't crink, the motor has been swapped from the original crossfire to a carbureted 305. I haven't really had time to really look at this car much, but I have begun to realise that whoever was the previous owner liked to jerry rig things into place. For instance the steering wheel has been replaced by a steering wheel out of a firebird.
Onto my question, When I turn the key to the start position, nothing happens. no solenoid click or anything. I was looking at the fuses, and the crank fuse is non existent, not even the metal tabs that hold it in place. Could this be the root of my problem, if so how should I go about fixing it? Any other leads on where to look would be appreciated! Thank you

The CRANK fause was used with all fuel injected cars.
The only Factory carburated cars with the CRANK fuse in the fusebox were "HO" Z28's with a factory installed in-tank fuel pump. ( IIRC - possibly some 87's too. )
