Hey everyone, on my 88 GTA the highest fan setting does not work.
Everything else does - A/C, Heat, etc, I just can't get the highest fan setting to work.
I keep reading bits and pieces about the high fan setting yet can't seem to find any solid answers or pictures of where/what it looks like.
I'm guessing this is my issue and I just need a little help, any part numbers or pictures would be much appreciated!
I just want to reference this thread since its been a HUGE help, I found the location of the high speed relay, and have ordered a new one from ebay! (Rockauto, autozone, etc. don't seem to stock it anymore).
EDIT: I'll upload my results after I replace the relay, hopefully it fixes the high speed fan not working...
The next thing on my list is to replace the weird power wires mentioned in that thread.

Before you install that new relay, check out this connection. Its for the blower motor HIGH SPEED ONLY. It's located along the firewall at the end of the passenger valve cover is. Around that location. THESE CONNECTORS ARE NOTORIOUS FOR SHORTING OUT. Check your's out. If its chrispy, cut the connector out and eliminate it. Tie the two wires together with weatherproof wire nut or somthing.

Thanks for the reply! - I found a relay for cheap from a dealership selling off their old inventory and the high speed still does not work after replacing it.
I checked the connection and you are right! Its totally got some gunk/melted plastic on it, so I'm going to cut those out tomorrow and hope that resolves it
