Converted to serpentine, now my alternator won't charge.

I cut my old 2 prong connector off, and soldered the larger wire to the big wire on the new terminal, and the smaller one to the small wire next to the big one. or the 2 wires farthest to the drivers side.
Are my wires wrong or what have I done wrong?
Please Help Me!!!!!!!!

have you thought about trying a "one-wire" system? take the 12 gauge wire from the plug in and splice it into the feed wire on the back of the alternator(the wire that is on the stud at the back of the alternator).
