NEW STARTER, NOW CAR WONT START AND HAS NO POWER

ok so my starter was going out and i decided to replace it on my 1992 firebird with a 305 TBI. everything went well until i went to start the car again, i have swapped out the starter and got all the wires (4 of them!?!?) hooked up to the new starter. after i was done, i re-connected the battery and went to start it...NOTHING. no lights, no radio, no dash, nothing at all. the battery has 13v so its not dead (its also brand new) car was working fine before i swapped the starter (other than a bad starter all the lights worked etc) so im lost, did i hook up the wires in the wrong spot? did i blow a fuse? i need help figuring this one out. i included a picture with all my wires hooked up to the new starter.

Re: NEW STARTER, NOW CAR WONT START AND HAS NO POWER

You have the wires all in the wrong places.

The 2 large rings go on the LARGE terminal with the batt cable. The purple wire w the small ring goes by itself on the small terminal nearest the engine, marked "S". (where the one ring w 2 rust-colored fusible links is now attached) NO wires go on the terminal at the bottom of the solenoid with the little ribbon leads that go to the starter motor, or on the stud at the back of the motor.

so basically they all go on the large post except for the purple one which goes on the stud on the solenoid that is nearest the motor?

Yes that is correct.

All the big ring terminals on the big post w the batt cable; the small ring (purple wire) on the "S" terminal.
