anti-theft switch...
Hello All,
I'm looking for help and ideas on the installation of an anti-theft kind of switch to make it harder to steal. Something more than just a battery disconnect switch as I want to keep power to the car. Maybe something along the lines of an inline switch between the positive side of the battery and the starter. Or if there is someplace easier that wouldn't require heavy gauge cabling like a starter relay. I'm wanting to put the switch inside under the dash area and out of site from potential thieves.
Thanks,
SKIP91

Re: anti-theft switch...
You could place a toggle switch in between the starter relay and ignition switch. Since I am using an aftermarket ECM I eliminated VATS, but still have the relay in the left A-pillar. What I did was to ground the relay (bypassing what the VATS module used to do), next I will be installing a switch between the relay and ground. It won't crank unless I flip the switch.
