wiring up 91/92 TA lights

Hey everyone, I'm back with a new (to me) car, 88 formula I'm building for my dad. I recently got my hands on a set of 91/92 Trans am lights for it. My buddy gave me the tail light harness from a 91 to go with it. I've been doing some heavy searching of google, tgo, even attempted posting to the fb groups but I'm coming up short.

I know Lou went through the trouble of making the tech article and a few threads here and there reference it but none of said threads mention swapping of harnesses. I know the base and the TA run different circuits so I attempted the light blue wire (body side) to the white wire on the turn signal switch per a set of quoted directions from lous article.

Do I need to perform the second half of it as well even though I have the year specific harness? Everything went smooth with the splicing of that, there was an extra black wire that I grounded and I'll have to rework the pull down motor but I want to make sure that I'm not chasing my tail here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, kinda wishing I had one of the sts units still now that I've got an actual firebird lol some of the threads I read over involved people splicing new bulb sockets on, I don't want to do that, the 91 trans am harness is already spliced in and run so really its just the 88 body side that I should be worried about correct?
