Tach problems....

My tach has been messed up sinse I bought my '90 RS. Basically, it reads super high. If I floor it, it jumps all the way to the right. I have installed an MSD-6A since I've owned it. Does anyone know the problem and the fix, or should I just try to hook the tach directly to my MSD? My 700r4 is fading fast, and a T56 is in the garage waiting to be put in. So I need the tach to work. Thank you

the truth about factory tachs...

they're kinda like hondas, they're great until you have a problem with it. In my experience, my money and time was well spend on an aftermarket tach. more precise, less worry and will work with aftermarket ignitions.

Hook the tach directly to the MSD box. Should stabilize the reading. (Did for me........)
