Need help identifying sensor connection, 305 TPI

Hey guys,

Last night when replacing my starter which mysteriously cracked in half, I found this apparent (and broken) sensor connection. It appears to be coming from the same section of harness as the leads to the starter. I don't have access to wiring diagrams and was hoping someone could help.

The car's a '90, 305, TPI

TIA

Looks like the knock sensor, which will be found directly in front of the starter, mounted in the drain hole at the oil pan rail.

Or, it could be to the cooling fan switch in the head, directly above the starter.

I had forgotten about the fan switch. The length seems about right, too. The knock sensor is connected and in tact, so I knew it wasn't that.

Thanks for the speedy response.
