Alternator is good but the truck doesnt charge

i replaced the alternator and now it went a few months no problem but now the truck will charge then it won't. After the auto reset breaker cools off and resets the truck will charge for a brief time then the process repeats. i had a bad ignition switch that i replaced and the truck was fine and now back to this. Where can I turn to find this problem.

With all the posts lately that do not involve GM third gen F body cars , I wonder if the TGO registration signup should have some type of "fill in the name (Camaro / Firebird) and the year (1982 / 1992) of your car" type of question and if the answer doesn't indicate a GM third gen F body the registration is denied .
