Where is the under hood fuse box (1988 TA)?

 

There isn't one. You may find a few fuse holders around the radiator support or inner fenders up front, depending on equipment. And you'll find a bundle of fusible links on the positive post of the starter. Might also be a junction block or distribution block off the positive battery cable with fusible links there too.

 

Yep, there are a few single fuse holders and fuseable links underhood, but no fuse block. The only fuse block resides above your left knee while seated.

 

Sal I'm not trying to be a "know it all" here , but our cars do have one other fusebox that most folks don't know about besides the one you've mentioned . Called by GM the "convenience center" (as some kind of sick GM joke because it's the most darned IN convenient thing to get to) it resides above your right knee while seated . Why the General went with an obviously costlier second little sub fusebox instead of putting it all in the main fusebox is anybody's guess , but here it is , in all it's super secret glory , the convenience center ;
