Can i use the pick up coil from a 229 even fire chevy v6 in a sbc v8 non-ccc dizzy? That is, of course, swapping the pick up coil only and keeping the v8 pole piece.

Do a part number search on rockauto.com to see if both applications use the same pu coil.

If you start by checking a PN for the application that uses the 229 (G-body) and the PN for the SBC application, that might be a hint.
Also, Hollanders interchange books, used by salvage yards are helpful; they may have an online version to try.

it seems every auto parts store sell the pick up coil and the pole piece as a unit. I just tried and the v8 seems to run fine with the v6 po coil. We'll see. Thanks guys
